Barking Heads and Meowing Heads
Barking Heads is my dogs favourite food. Why? Because it has so much meat in it! Plenty of the best ingredients, meat, oils, vitamins and rice.
For example, with their flag ship dog food product, Tender Loving Care, the ingredients read as follows:
fresh British chicken 26%, rice 26%, dried chicken 26%
Notice the absence of the word 'meal'? Chicken meal means 'ground up carcass', which Barking Heads will not use. They use lovely chicken meat, that you or I would eat! Also: take note of the phrase 'dried chicken'. The fact that the ingredient is dried and measured before putting into the food, means it stays at that percentage. To sum up, the 3rd ingredient is still far more meat than most other dogfoods first ingredient!
Other loveliness includes whole linseed, sunflower oil, salmon oil, rapeseed oil, carrot, tomato, seaweed, glucosamine, chondroitin, and vitamins!
With all that meat, your dog will have more nourishment per mouthful - so you don't need to put so much food in his bowl. A bag will last you much longer than a bag of inferior food. Cheaper foods are often bulked out with useless ingredients, like cereals - so the poor dog has to eat a greater volume of food to get his fill of meat.
